The successful candidate will be joining our team in Kuala Lumpur as a full-time employee and will be accountable for Technical Safety Engineering, including design, specification and services.

Below are some key responsibilities and duties:

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of safety/risk consultants, guiding their professional growth and performance.
• Skills Development: Identify technical skill gaps in the team and lead targeted upskilling and training initiatives.
• Utilization Management: Ensure the team meets utilization and efficiency targets, optimizing assignments and workloads.
• Bid & Proposal Support: Provide accurate man-hour estimates and technical input for new project bids and proposals.
• Project Delivery: Forecast and manage monthly invoicing, and review project reports for technical quality and completeness.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, helping select projects and acting as a trusted technical contact.
• Safety Workshops (optional): Lead or facilitate HAZID, HAZOP and SIL workshops to ensure rigorous hazard identification and risk analysis.

Candidate Profile (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven background in upstream and downstream oil & gas projects, with international experience (especially in Southeast Asia and North Sea regions).
• Expert proficiency in safety and risk tools: QRA, FEA, NHHA (Non-Hydrocarbon Hazard Analysis), and Safety Case development.
• Strong project management skills: ability to lead multi-discipline teams, manage budgets/schedules, and deliver projects on time.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring junior staff and liaising with clients.
• Full work authorization in Malaysia is required (Malaysian residence or permanent residency preferred).
